Today we spent the day at Xel-Ha (pronounced: “Shell-Hah”), which is basically a massive ecological water park. They call it the largest natural aquarium in the world, and it’s really amazing! We came 14 months ago and swam with dolphins, amongst some other activities. We didn’t have that much time then so we returned this year to do a little more, some of which included snorkeling, zip lining, walking the nature paths and participating in the Temaxcal, which is a detoxifying steam bath.
Due to the nature of our day (bathing suits and barefoot), cameras and phones were kept in the locker. I was able to take a few shots before we left, and, as seen here, enjoyed my view of the palm trees and sky from my hammock.
