Day 218: August 6

When students finish classes, the first thing most want to do is sell back their textbooks to make some money back! This was true for me for a lot of my classes. Biology textbook? Ew – get it away! Wine textbook? Wait a minute…

I took a wine class senior year of college that included tasting sessions, as well. It wasn’t all fun and games, though. The chemistry of winemaking is not uncomplicated… we also learned about different winemaking regions and the varietals that come from each, etc. In honor of my current whereabouts, this snap is on the New York State page. Will have to pay a visit to Brotherhood someday!

*Textbook is Windows on the World Complete Wine Course by Kevin Zraly. He used to host wine classes in the World Trade Center, but now they are held at the New York Marriott Essex House on Central Park South
