In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “On the Way.”
California State Route 1 is often regarded as one of, if not, the most scenic drive(s) in the world. Being a California native, I’ve been on CA SR-1 a lot (mainly PCH), but only a couple times have I traveled the full 400 miles from Los Angeles to San Francisco. It’s a worthwhile trip if you have not done it, but you must account for extra time being spent on the side of the road taking photos of glorious landscape!
Back in 2009 I had a friend from study abroad visit with me in L.A. After a few days in my hometown, we trekked up the coast to spend a few more days in the city by the bay, via Solvang and Santa Cruz. We also made plenty a pit stop to capture photos like these.
Life is a journey, not a destination, right? Enjoy the “on the way.”
