Keep On Keeping On

Happy October, everyone! It’s actually starting to feel like fall. I like fall for what it is (gorgeous leaves, apple cider, corn mazes, etc), but I also dislike it because it means winter is quickly approaching. I could do without the cold! But being October means I am already 9 months through my second “365 Project.” How time flies! There are three full months left, and I’m not about to stop, so here’s photos from the past few days.

HNL -> SEA (Monday – Hawaiian Airlines provides a free meal (cool!) but you have to pay for the movies. Watched “Boyhood” because it was the longest option and I wanted to see it anyway. I thought it was good, but just good.)

SEA -> DFW (Monday/Tuesday – Overnight flight but all I did was read The Kite Runner.)

DFW->RIC (Tuesday – Finished my book during my layover at 6:30 in the morning (excellent, I must say!) and attempted to sleep with my Korean panda eye mask on during this flight, until the turbulence got too shaky for me to be relaxed.)

It took 3 plane rides and 15-16-ish hours from Honolulu, but I landed safely in Richmond, VA. I still have to make a post explaining why I’m here, and I will, I promise, but probably not until next week.

A warm welcome from RIC airport.

Who doesn’t love a little hand holding with an animal friend? Her idea, not mine!

She loves to hold paws

Hurricane Joaquin is a’coming. It’s been raining since I got here. I decided it was a nice opportunity to take a photo of a flower with some water droplets on it.

Hurricane Joaquin is taking care of all the watering this week!

Found this cool swan lamp in the house. Not sure if it’s broken and that’s why the head doesn’t light up or if it’s supposed to be that way. Regardless, I think it’s pretty nifty. I hate antique shopping but it reminds me of a gem you could find in an antique store.

Swans are pretty cool, eh?

What day is it? It’s October 3rd! The perfect rainy day to go to Costco. And what did we find at Costco? None other than….Christmas decorations! Excuse me, what day is it again? October what? Oh 3rd? So Halloween is still weeks away. Why am I seeing and hearing Christmas things??

Put it back in stock Costco, it's too early!!
