After returning from Korea, the job search began right away. I knew where I wanted to work, and luckily, the position most suitable to me was available. Within a few days of being home, I had a phone screen. A week later, I had an on-site job interview. Four weeks after that, I had a job offer. I begin today and I’m really excited! Of course it’s been nice hanging around and catching up on HGTV and all the crime dramas, but after 2.5 months I’m looking forward to getting back into the grind and swing of young adult life.
Here’s photos from my last week of “funemployment.”

My first half-custom frame job!
I decided to print one of my favorite photos from our Hawaii trip as a 24×16 with the intention of hanging it on the wall of our future apartment. I was able to find a 28×20 frame at Michael’s but they had no 24×16 mats. Turns out they can produce a custom mat to fit your own frame, so I ordered one for about $30. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite fit in the frame once I got it. I had to trim down the side by a millimeter or two. Luckily the edge of the frame covers the edge of the mat, so you can’t see the choppy job I did. I’m very pleased with the final result!

The only photo I took today was the damage Sammy did to this envelope. This cat loves to flip through magazines and papers on tabletops, and he does not discriminate against envelopes apparently. Normally he doesn’t bite into anything, but I guess the envelope had a sweet taste to it. Time to find a new one!

Savoring the fall because soon the winter will come and I will be a popsicle.

Happy Thanksgiving to all the Americans! I’m very thankful for my loving family & friends, my health, and the new opportunities ahead of me. Hope everyone enjoyed a meal with loved ones.

It’s never been a tradition in my mom’s house to put up the tree the day after Thanksgiving, but because I was leaving the next day, we thought it would be a good idea so I could help out this year! We decided to get a small tree and put up peacock-themed ornaments only. We were totally inspired by the peacock tree we had seen in Macy’s.

Back in DC for the new job! Feels good!
I took this with my LGG4 from a moving car. Not too shabby!

Haven’t had this in ages — Ben’s Chili Bowl chili dog and a banana milkshake. Gotta spoil myself sometimes!
Funemployment, you’ve been good to me! But now on to bigger and better. 🙂
