In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: Circle“
The Daily Post says: With this theme, you may go literal, and look for things around you with perfectly round shapes: your wedding ring, the bubbles your daughter blows, the curvy sculptures at your local museum, or the glittery sphere that falls during a New Year’s Eve countdown. Or, you might consider what this familiar shape represents: the cycle of life and death, infinity, perfection, and more.
I didn’t try, but I think I ended up with both.
And here’s why: This is a photo of the beautiful lamp posts outside the Eisenhower Executive Office Building right next to the White House in — where else?– Washington, DC. There are many circles (spheres, I guess) here. But what’s more is that this photo kind of represents the little circle my life just took. We’ll fast forward 22 years from birth and I could be found here, in DC. After staying put for a few years years, then taking on an opportunity in New York, and then moving abroad to Korea, I’ve been back in DC for 6 weeks now, where my grown-up life started. I didn’t know I’d be back but I’m happy I am.
